Law Seminars, Symposia
& Retreats
The
Center for International Legal Studies holds several conferences,
retreats and symposia for law professionals and scholars each year in
exclusive venues across the globe. Themes are drawn from
the current legal challenges facing businesses, individuals
and public authorities and are addressed on an international and
comparative basis.
The Solicitor's
Regulation Authority (SRA) of England and Wales, the Faculty of
Advocates of the Scottish Bar, and The Netherlands Bar recognise our
events for Continuing Professional Development (CPD); the
States of Texas, California, and New York bars recognise them (approved
jurisdictions rule) for Continuing Legal Education (CLE). Due to CILS'
recognized sponsorship with the above jurisdictions, the bars of
several other US states and Hong Kong have granted CLE/CPD credits on
the basis of individual attorney application.
Since 1977, we have
organized more than 120 legal education events. Attendees and faculty
alike have complimented the ambience, camaraderie and intellectual
stimuli there. We organise complete educational and social experiences,
with lodging, dining, and leisure to complement the law seminars and
enhance frank intellectual, professional and personal discourse.
Conference Coordinator: Ms. Manuela Wedam.
